SPANISH BLOOD. In Black Mask Magazine, Vol. XVIII, No. 9.

The first publication of one of Raymond Chandler's most anthologised short stories 'Spanish Blood'. Publisher's white paper covers featuring an illustration in colour by John Drew. A better than very good copy, the binding sound with rubbing and small nicks and tears to the yapped edges of the covers. Short split to the bottom of the upper spine fold. The contents, toned to the paper stock as always are otherwise clean throughout and without loss or large tears. A very attractive example in entirely original condition of a fragile pulp.

In addition to Chandler's novella this volume includes "Winter Kill" by Fred Nebel; "Five Spot" by Theodore Tinsley; "G-Heat" by John K. Butler; "A Keg of Muscatel" by W. D. Bray; the Mystery Story Contest winning story "The Affair of the Jealous Groom". This issue was edited by Joseph T. Shaw.
